Programme Support Intern - Events & Advocacy
Job Purpose
Main Responsibilities
- Event and Advocacy Support: Assist with the organization and logistics of events and outreach activities for the Sofia office, including tracking RSVPs, booking accommodations and transportation, and managing event-related communications.
- Social Media and CRM Management: Contribute to managing the program’s social media presence, assist with maintaining the CRM system, and support the network engagement and communication efforts.
- Translation and Administrative Support: Translate documents from English to Bulgarian. Provide general office support and assist with day-to-day administrative tasks.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Sofia coordination team as well as Communications and Advocacy departments and provide flexible support for a variety of tasks.
Person Specification
- Current university student (Bachelor’s or Master’s ideally in their last year) in Political Science, International Relations, Economics, Media Studies, Social Sciences, or a related discipline. University Agreement is required.
- Strong academic background in political science with a focus on international relations, EU foreign policy, or economics.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Bulgarian.
Skills and Abilities
- Organizational Skills: Well-organized, with the ability to multi-task effectively, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain attention to detail.
- Proactivity and Flexibility: Proactive, self-motivated, and flexible, able to work both independently and as part of a multinational team.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills, with ease in drafting invitations, engaging in social interactions, and presenting ideas. Comfortable working in a multicultural environment and able to adapt communication styles accordingly.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), experienced in using tools like Canva, CRM systems, and WordPress, and proficient in social media platforms to help increase engagement
- Reliability and Quality Focus: Detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality work with a positive attitude.
- Teamwork and Management: Capable of managing tasks efficiently, prioritizing and multitasking in a fast-paced environment, with strong interpersonal and social skills that contribute to team success.
